The Milwaukee Bucks dropped to 17-15 on the season after a disheartening 113-110 loss to the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday night. It was a miserable game, with Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks behind by as many as 24 points against the Nets, who improved to 13-21.
It was also a game in which Giannis, the two-time NBA MVP, set a league record. He finished the night with 27 points, 13 rebounds, seven assists, one steal, and three blocks on 12/24 shooting (but only 3/10 from the free throw line).
It was the Greek Freak’s 26th consecutive game of scoring 20 or more points while shooting at least 50% from the field. This eclipsed the previous mark of 25 consecutive games with such stats, which was held by Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame center Shaquille O’Neal and New Orleans Pelicans star Zion Williamson.
