In the latest episode of Hard Knocks, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson appears to express his desire to remain with the team beyond this season. After signing a one-year deal, Wilson bet on himself to prove he could still perform at a high level and secure his spot with the Steelers or another team. His performance this season has demonstrated that the 36-year-old still has plenty left in the tank.
At the grand opening of the first ‘Why Not You’ center in Pittsburgh, hosted by Wilson and his wife Ciara, a young fan approached him during a signing session and asked if he planned to re-sign with the Steelers. Wilson’s response left no doubt about his intentions to stay.
“Hopefully, I love it here,” Wilson said.
Since taking over as the starter, Wilson has injected life into the Steelers’ offense, delivering explosive plays across the field. While their boom-or-bust nature keeps them from being among the league’s top offenses, they remain a dynamic and competitive unit under his leadership.
Re-signing Wilson won’t come cheap, but his strong play has given the Steelers their best quarterback performance since Ben Roethlisberger’s departure.

Pittsburgh Steelers outside linebacker T.J. Watt returned to practice on Wednesday, working off to the side as he prepared for a possible appearance against the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday. Watt participated in warm-ups and did some light running away from the main practice group.
Despite his activity, Watt had a noticeable limp during the session. The team remains hopeful he can suit up against the Ravens, less than a week after rolling his ankle in the game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Watt did not practice on Tuesday, and with no individual drills completed over the past two days, his chances of playing have diminished. He is likely to be listed as “did not participate” for Wednesday, though an upgrade on Thursday could signal a last-minute push to play on Saturday.
Head coach Mike Tomlin expressed optimism on Monday, noting Watt’s minimal limp at the time. However, the challenge lies in Watt bearing full weight on his injured ankle, especially when bending during plays, as it could cause significant pain. Still, with the division title at stake, Watt might push through to take the field.
