Former Bills linebacker Leonard Floyd is eager to return to Orchard Park as the San Francisco 49ers prepare to face the Buffalo Bills on Sunday Night Football this week.
“I most definitely circled this one because Buffalo is a different experience,” Floyd said during a November 25 interview on KNBR’s “Murph & Markus” show with hosts Brian Murphy and Markus Boucher. He praised Buffalo’s “great fans” and described Highmark Stadium as “a hostile environment for us.”
Floyd spent the 2023 season in Buffalo following three years with the Los Angeles Rams and four years with the Chicago Bears. He joined the 49ers in the offseason on a two-year, $20 million deal.
Now in his first season with San Francisco, Floyd has recorded 32 tackles, 6.5 sacks, and one forced fumble.
Despite the 49ers’ current 5-6 record, he has been a standout performer, including a two-sack outing against Green Bay quarterback Jordan Love in their recent 38-10 loss to the Packers on November 24.
Addressing the challenge of playing in Buffalo, Floyd added, “We’re going to have to endure and play through that, stay together, and hopefully come out with a victory.”
