There has been growing speculation about where former New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones will sign, with several NFL contenders showing interest. Despite the Giants moving on from their former franchise QB, Jones, a former No. 6 overall pick, is still a sought-after talent, especially given his desire to join a playoff-caliber team. Teams like the Ravens, Vikings, and 49ers have been mentioned, but the Buffalo Bills are now seen as a strong possibility for his next destination.
According to NFL insider Albert Breer, the Bills could be an ideal fit for Jones. He notes that there is scheme familiarity, as well as similarities between Jones’ playing style and that of Josh Allen. While Jones is not on the same level as Allen, Breer believes this could help ease his transition to Buffalo. Additionally, Jones wouldn’t be pressured into starting immediately, allowing him to learn from Allen in a supportive environment.

A notable advantage for Buffalo is the connection between Giants general manager Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll, both of whom previously worked with the Bills. This could provide the Bills with valuable insights into Jones’ character and work ethic if any concerns arise.
Despite a challenging tenure with the Giants, there is no animosity, and the team has supported Jones in finding a new opportunity rather than forcing him to wait until 2025.
