Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is participating in the NFL’s “My Cleats My Cause” initiative for weeks 13 and 14 by showcasing custom-designed cleats supporting the Patricia Allen Fund. This fund assists critical care teams at Oishei Children’s Hospital in Buffalo. Allen’s involvement highlights the NFL’s effort to promote charitable causes, with players, coaches, and staff across the league wearing specially designed cleats to raise awareness for various organizations.
The My Cause My Cleats initiative, which started in 2016, encourages NFL participants to support important causes. This season, over 1,400 individuals, including players and coaches, are taking part. The league has partnered with AWS technology to allow players to design their cleats using AI, and Allen collaborated with two children from Oishei Children’s Hospital on his design. Fans can also join in by using the AWS generative AI app to create their own digital cleat designs.

As part of the initiative, players have the option to auction off their cleats after the games, with proceeds benefiting the featured charities. The NFL hopes to raise awareness and support for these nonprofit organizations through the efforts of its players and teams.
The initiative showcases the NFL’s commitment to social responsibility and the dedication of its players to causes that matter to them and their communities.
