The University of Louisville has announced that senior forward Aboubacar Traore sustained a broken arm and is expected to be sidelined for “multiple weeks,” starting with tonight’s game against Bellarmine. Traore, a transfer from Long Beach State, was a starter in both of Louisville’s first two games, averaging 1.5 points and 5.0 rebounds per game.
Additionally, junior reserve guard Koren Johnson will be unavailable for Tuesday night’s matchup due to a shoulder injury.
Best wishes go out to both players for a speedy and full recovery.

Louisville Cardinals’ sophomore defensive back Tayon Holloway has been suspended from all team activities following his arrest. Holloway faces charges of felony strangulation and misdemeanor domestic assault. The incident allegedly occurred around 9 p.m. on Sunday when, according to a police report, a confrontation started as a woman tried to stop Holloway from smoking marijuana. The report claims Holloway struck the woman and briefly smothered her with a pillow.
The police responded to a 911 hang-up call at the scene, encountering uncooperative individuals inside the apartment. The alleged victim was reported to have injuries, including a cut on her upper lip and swelling around her eyes.
Holloway has been a key player for Louisville this season, participating in all 10 games with three starts, including a significant moment where he returned a blocked field goal for a touchdown against Georgia Tech. However, he was also involved in a controversial penalty during Louisville’s recent game against Stanford, which contributed to a game-winning field goal by the Cardinal.
Holloway’s court appearance is scheduled for November 26.
