It looks like the NC State football program will not be adding a second Concepcion to the roster.
Arrion Concepcion, a three-star senior from Chambers High School in North Carolina and the brother of NC State’s standout wide receiver KC Concepcion, has officially decommitted from the Wolfpack. This news was first reported by On3’s Hayes Fawcett on Sunday evening.
Arrion Concepcion, a 5-foot-9, 175-pound wide receiver, had been committed to NC State since June. He is currently ranked No. 1,462 overall, No. 200 among wide receivers, and No. 33 in North Carolina according to the 247Sports 2025 Composite rankings.
With his decommitment, it’s uncertain where Concepcion will decide to go next. Prior to his commitment to NC State and head coach Dave Doeren, he had offers from several other programs, including Appalachian State, Campbell, Charlotte, Coastal Carolina, East Carolina, Liberty, Marshall, Miami, Troy, and Virginia Tech.
Arrion Concepcion’s decommitment has caused NC State’s 2025 recruiting class to drop to No. 45 nationally, as per the 247Sports Composite rankings. Despite the setback, the Wolfpack remains ranked No. 10 in the ACC, behind teams like No. 9 Florida State, No. 8 Stanford, No. 7 Pitt, No. 6 Syracuse, No. 5 Duke, No. 4 SMU, No. 3 Georgia Tech, No. 2 Clemson, and No. 1 Miami.
With Concepcion’s departure, Forest Hills High School (N.C.) athlete Jerel Bolder, the only composite four-star recruit in the now 18-member class, stands as the sole wide receiver commit for NC State in the 2025 cycle.
