Bills’ Jordan Phillips Trolls Zaire Franklin with Savage Post After Win
The Buffalo Bills defeated the Indianapolis Colts 30-20 on Sunday in their Week 10 matchup, extending their winning streak to five games thanks to a dominant defensive performance. After the victory, new Bills addition Jordan Phillips took to Instagram to troll Colts linebacker Zaire Franklin with a brief but pointed message. Phillips captioned a photo of Franklin, shared by Bills writer Ryan Talbot on X (formerly Twitter), with the phrase “BELT TO ASS.” Talbot noted that Phillips wasted no time posting the message following the win.
With this victory, the Bills improved to 8-2, their best start since 1993, and strengthened their lead in the AFC East. They also surpassed 30 points for the fourth consecutive game, though quarterback Josh Allen believes there’s room for improvement. “We’ve got to have a faster start,” Allen said. “We didn’t play our best today, but we’ll take the win. Four forced turnovers—we’ve got to hold onto the ball a little bit better. We’ll take them however we can get them, and we’ll move on.”
Buffalo’s defense made life tough for the Colts, recording four sacks and intercepting quarterback Joe Flacco three times, along with recovering his fumble. Despite his struggles, Flacco has been starting since Anthony Richardson’s injury, but with a 1-3 record, his performance could put both the Colts’ playoff hopes and coach Shane Steichen’s job in jeopardy. Still, Steichen has said he won’t bench Flacco.
Bills head coach Sean McDermott lauded his defense for the win, emphasizing the importance of their takeaways. “The defense, the takeaways, were a big-time difference in the game,” McDermott said. “They’re a very competitive group, and they take a lot of pride in not letting each other down.”
