Falcons Elevate Receiver from Practice Squad, Provide Update on Drew Dalman’s Week 10 Status
FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — The Atlanta Falcons have made some key roster moves ahead of their Week 10 matchup against the New Orleans Saints this Sunday.
Center Drew Dalman, who had been listed as questionable for the game, has now been downgraded to out. Dalman, who has been on injured reserve since Week 4 with an ankle injury, was designated to return to practice two weeks ago. He is currently within a 21-day window to be either activated to the active roster or placed on season-ending IR. Given his positive progress and full participation in practice this week, it seems unlikely that he will be placed on IR for the season.
Dalman was officially designated to return to practice on October 30, meaning the Falcons still have time to activate him before the 21-day window expires.
In other roster news, the Falcons have elevated wide receiver Chris Blair and outside linebacker Khalid Kareem from the practice squad for Sunday’s game. This marks Blair’s second elevation after being brought up to the game-day roster in Week 1. Blair’s promotion is particularly notable, as wide receiver Drake London is listed as questionable with a hip injury after being limited in practices throughout Week 10.
A final decision on London’s status will be made 90 minutes before kickoff when the Falcons release their list of inactives. Sunday’s game against the Saints is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET and will air live on FOX from the Caesars Superdome.
