Metallica has expanded their fifth collection, “Orion: A Tribute to Cliff Burton,” with exciting new content! The band has added over 150 rare and unseen photos of their late bassist, Cliff Burton, providing fans with a unique glimpse into his legacy.
Additionally, they have shared a new video featuring a live performance of “(Anesthesia) – Pulling Teeth.” Be sure to check it out and celebrate the legendary contributions of Cliff Burton!
The band shared: “We recently acquired hundreds of photos taken by the late photographer Russ Marino in Detroit and Chicago during 1985 and 1986. While some of these images were published in magazines back in the ’80s, the majority—including many alternate shots from the same sessions—are being unveiled for the first time.”
The collection also includes a selection of photos by their longtime friend Harald O, a heroic illustration by Juan Machado, and a digital copy of So What! Volume 20 – Issue 1, available in full for fans to enjoy.
In case you missed it, the previous two releases featured interviews with close friends and devoted fans of Cliff Burton. This latest addition includes in-depth conversations with Kirk Hammett, producer Flemming Rasmussen, Ron Quintana, photographer Harald Oimoen, Death Angel’s Damien Sisson, and Nick Haines of Mindforce.
