5 people injured in crash on Peña Boulevard in Aurora

Five adults were injured in an early morning crash in Aurora.

The incident occurred after 2 a.m. on Wednesday when officers from the Aurora Police Department responded to a two-vehicle crash near East 40th Avenue at Peña Boulevard, close to the Green Valley Ranch neighborhood.

According to a preliminary investigation, police stated that one vehicle ran a red light and collided with another, resulting in injuries to five adults.

All five individuals were transported to a local hospital with varying degrees of injuries, according to police. Two adults sustained serious injuries, with one of them listed in life-threatening condition, while the other three suffered minor injuries.
