Departed Saints scrum-half has found a new home

Former Saints scrum-half Callum Braley has signed with Saracens.

The 30-year-old joins the team at StoneX Stadium on a three-month deal as injury cover, with Gareth Simpson out for the start of the 2024/25 season.

Braley, who made 15 appearances for Saints, was left without a contract this summer and is now beginning the next chapter of his career.

He brings a wealth of experience, having previously played for Bristol Bears, Gloucester, and Benetton before joining Saints in 2022.

Braley has also earned 15 caps for Italy, including representing them at the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan.

Saracens director of rugby, Mark McCall, commented, “Callum is a very experienced player who we are confident will be a strong addition to our squad.

We’re already impressed with how he has settled in and look forward to seeing him on the pitch.”
