Former Walsall and Swindon Town Man Made Available For Transfer

Cheltenham Town manager Michael Flynn has revealed that three players, including former Swindon and Walsall midfielder Liam Kinsella, are available to leave the club.

Following his team’s 3-2 loss at Grimsby Town, where Cheltenham fought back from two goals down only to concede a late winner, Flynn addressed the media. The defeat saw Jordan Davies and Charles Vernam put Grimsby ahead, but Luke Young and Matt Taylor leveled the score before Davies netted in injury time.

Flynn noted the absence of Kinsella and Tom Bradbury, who were fit but not selected. He confirmed that, along with another unnamed player, they are free to seek opportunities elsewhere.

“There have been no issues or disagreements,” Flynn told Gloucestershire Live. “Liam Kinsella has been a great professional at every club I’ve managed him. Tom Bradbury and Max Harris have also been professional. We’ve had honest discussions, and if they get offers, they’ll be allowed to leave. It’s a common practice.”

Flynn, who previously managed Newport County, acknowledged that these players’ departures would open up space for new additions. “The available players have been informed, and it’s the same as when I arrived. I’m straightforward about the situation, and yes, I have deals lined up for potential exits.”

Cheltenham Town, which suffered relegation last season despite Darrell Clarke’s efforts, faces a challenging League Two campaign. Flynn, who has managed Newport, Walsall, and Swindon, is focused on keeping the team in the top seven. Kinsella, with his extensive experience, could be a valuable asset, having made 253 appearances for Walsall, 69 of them in League One, and 301 senior appearances overall.
