Saints fans require extra subscription to watch Investec Champions Cup matches

Saints supporters will face an additional subscription cost this season after EPCR announced that Premier Sports will be the main broadcaster for the Investec Champions Cup and EPCR Challenge Cup in the UK and Ireland.

This means that all of Saints’ European competition matches will be shown on Premier Sports for the upcoming season. To watch these games, fans will need to subscribe to the service, with prices starting at £10.99 per month.

Rugby fans already need a discovery+ subscription to watch Gallagher Premiership matches, and many also have Sky Sports subscriptions to watch international games. Now, a third subscription is required if Saints fans who don’t attend matches want to see their team compete in Europe over the next three years.

This agreement, which runs until the end of the 2026/27 season, will see Premier Sports broadcast all 63 Investec Champions Cup matches, along with two EPCR Challenge Cup pool matches per round, two EPCR Challenge Cup Round of 16 games, and all matches in the quarter-finals, semi-finals, and final.

Premier Sports is rapidly becoming a significant player in rugby broadcasting, covering 20 EPCR Challenge Cup matches during the 2023/24 season and serving as the UK broadcaster for TOP14 and the BKT United Rugby Championship (URC).

Since partnering with the URC six years ago, Premier Sports has aired over 900 live rugby fixtures, including every grand final.
