Two men arrested after crash leaves man terribly injured

Two men have been arrested following a collision between a car and a motorbike, which resulted in a man requiring hospital treatment for injuries that are not life-threatening, according to police.

Emergency services, including the Wiltshire Air Ambulance, responded to the incident on Cricklade Road in Swindon just before 12:30 BST on Friday.

Wiltshire Police reported that a 17-year-old man has been arrested on charges including causing serious injury by dangerous driving and possession of an offensive weapon. Additionally, a 44-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. Both men are currently in police custody.

The injured man was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The 17-year-old faces further charges including affray, theft of a motor vehicle, and suspicion of driving without a license or insurance, police added.

A man has been hospitalized following a car crash in Gorse Hill, and police are currently searching for a motorbike rider who is believed to be involved.

The Wiltshire Air Ambulance attended the scene, but no further details are available as the incident is still under investigation.

Police were alerted to the collision on Cricklade Road, involving a car and what is thought to be a motorbike, at approximately 1:30 pm on Friday, July 19.

Eyewitnesses reported that the crash occurred near Hawthorne Pharmacy, and images show significant damage to the front of a silver car.

The injured man was taken to the hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening. The search for the motorbike rider is ongoing.

A Wiltshire Police spokesperson commented: “We received a report of a collision on Cricklade Road in Swindon shortly before 1:30 pm today, involving a car and a bike. A male has been transported to the hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.”
