Major Predictions Surface for NC State Basketball Recruiting Target

NC State basketball head coach Kevin Keatts and his staff appear to be the clear favorites to secure Bryce Heard’s commitment this week. With three days remaining before Heard’s announcement, multiple insider predictions indicate that the Wolfpack is likely to bolster its 2025 recruiting class on Wednesday.

Currently, all four predictions between 247Sports Crystal Ball and Rivals FutureCast favor NC State for the standout guard from Homewood-Flossmoor High School (Ill.). This aligns with the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, which also shows NC State as the frontrunner.

Heard, a 6-foot-5, 190-pound sharpshooting wing with a four-star rating and a No. 89 overall ranking on the 247Sports 2025 Composite, visited NC State about a month ago, marking his only official visit. Last week, he set his decision date and revealed his final choices: NC State, Southern Cal, Mississippi State, and Xavier.

The Wolfpack secured their first 2025 commitment on June 18 from three-star guard Ricardo Greer Jr. of Archbishop Alter High School (Ohio). With “high confidence” tags on the 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions, it would be surprising if Heard does not become the second NC State commit in this cycle.

Heard will announce his college decision at 3:30 p.m. ET Wednesday in his school’s auditorium, according to his social media.
