Talented Cardiff City youngster snapped up by Manchester City

Manchester City have completed the signing of Cardiff City youngster Timeo Whisker.

The 15-year-old winger will join the under-18s side at the Premier League champions, having attracted interest from several top-flight clubs.

A move to the blue side of Manchester had been in the pipeline for some time, with reports suggesting Cardiff accepted a compensation package of around £250,000. While it’s not yet confirmed if that figure is accurate, sources have emphasized that Cardiff have been ‘well compensated’.

Confirming the move on his social media channels, Whisker wrote: “Proud to officially sign for @mancity. Looking forward to the 2024/25 season!”

The France-born talent is the latest academy player to be poached from the Welsh side. In recent years, Cardiff City has seen several of their young prospects move on to other clubs, including Charlie Crew to Leeds United, Gabriele Biancheri to Manchester United, and Lewys Benjamin to Wolves.
