JUST IN: Prop forward joins Salford Red Devils

Joe Bullock has joined the Salford Red Devils on a season-long loan from Warrington Wolves.

The prop forward, who has made 10 appearances for Warrington in 2024, will now be part of the Salford squad for the rest of the season. He has already started training with his new teammates this week and is in contention to play in the match against Huddersfield Giants this Friday night (July 19).

The 31-year-old began his career with Blackpool Scorpions ARLFC, and has had loan spells with South Wales Scorpions, Leigh Centurions (now Leopards), and Barrow Raiders. During his time with Barrow, he scored 21 tries in 101 appearances and won League One’s Player of the Year in 2017.

Bullock then signed a three-year deal with Wigan Warriors, featuring in the 2020 Super League Grand Final against St Helens. Across his time with Warrington and Wigan, Bullock has made 102 Super League appearances, bringing considerable experience to Salford.

Salford Head Coach Paul Rowley commented, “We are all pleased to welcome Joe to the club and look forward to seeing him pull on the Salford jersey. We took a few knocks on Saturday, so we are grateful for the opportunity to bring in Joe for the foreseeable future.”

Bullock also shared his thoughts: “I want to thank Salford and Paul for the opportunity to come to the club on loan. I am looking forward to getting on the pitch and doing my best for the club and the boys. I can’t wait to get going this week and help Salford with their push at the back end of the season!”
