Millwall boss Neil Harris has expressed his hope for securing two additional signings before the team heads off to Spain for a week-long pre-season warm weather training camp.
The Lions recently added Macaulay Langstaff, Japhet Tanganga, and Lukas Jensen to their roster through permanent signings.
During their time in Spain, Millwall will play against Nottingham Forest and Real Murcia at the Pinatar Arena.
Before the goalless draw with Gillingham on Saturday, Harris commented, “Earlier in the week, I mentioned bringing in six or seven players. We’ve already signed three, which is crucial.
“Securing at least one more player, ideally two, before heading to Spain would be fantastic. I’m putting some pressure on our recruitment team, but adding to our squad next week would be a dream scenario for me.
“Taking a strong first-team group to Spain for two challenging fixtures would put us in a solid position.
“Enhancing the spine of the team is essential. Bringing Japhet back into the defense, which was strong at the end of last season, and adding Macaulay for some excitement and diversity up front is important. I know everyone is eager to see his development.
“The goalkeeper position, after losing Matija [Sarkic], was unexpected. It’s been a tough process, bringing back many memories, but we had to act quickly. Lukas, with his impressive pedigree and potential, is an exciting addition.
“I want to thank Jimmy for his support in bringing these players in and his continued support in strengthening our squad.
“To improve on last year, we need to keep enhancing our team each transfer window, and I’m grateful to my owner for supporting this vision.”
