Brisbane Roar have confirmed the signing of forward as signing spree continues

Brisbane Roar have announced the signing of forward Adam Zimarino on a one-year contract for the upcoming 2024-25 Isuzu UTE A-League season.

The 23-year-old, who recently mutually terminated his contract with Perth, will reunite with his former Glory head coach Ruben Zadkovich, who is set to lead his first pre-season with the Queensland team.

Despite debuting for Perth Glory in the Isuzu UTE A-League in 2022, Zimarino struggled to secure consistent match time in Western Australia, totaling just 25 league appearances.

The move to Brisbane not only provides Zimarino with the chance to reunite with former boss Ruben Zadkovich, but it is also expected to see him gain regular game time in the 2024-25 season.

“After speaking to Ruben, Zac (CEO Zac Anderson), and others from the club, my decision was fairly easy,” Zimarino said after signing his new contract.

“I’m excited for this opportunity and can’t wait to get going. The club’s going in the right direction, and I’d love to be a part of it.

He added: “For me personally, this year I want to contribute to the team, score goals, and ultimately help the team win and get to where this club deserves to be.”

The Roar are undergoing a significant rebuild this off-season as Zadkovich prepares for his first full season in charge of the club.

With Zimarino’s move confirmed, the club has now signed seven players this off-season, including Harry Van Der Saag, Ben Warland, Marcus Ferkranus, Hosine Bility, Ben Halloran, and Walid Shour.
