JUST IN: Tranmere Rovers Complete the signing of striker

Tranmere Rovers have announced the acquisition of forward Sol Solomon on a one-year deal.

The 23-year-old arrives from Marine, where he played a pivotal role in their promotion to the National League North last season, netting 24 goals.

Previously, Solomon set records as the leading goal scorer for Jersey Bulls, scoring an impressive 60 goals in 71 appearances in the Combined Counties Football League before leaving in 2022.

Solomon is set to link up with his new teammates this week as they embark on their first full week of pre-season training at The Campus, following their return for testing last Thursday.

Rovers manager Nigel Adkins commented, “Sol comes to us from non-league Marine. We’re confident that with full-time football, this talented winger has the capacity to continue progressing.”

Regarding his signing with Rovers, Solomon stated, “Tranmere is a significant club, so I’m delighted to join. I’ve visited the stadium and witnessed the fans in action, so the decision was straightforward for me.”

“This is a special moment for me and my family. It’s the result of a lot of hard work, not just from me, but also from my mum and dad behind the scenes.”
