JUST IN: Sheffield United in tough battle for star attacker amid interest from 5 other clubs

Sunderland, Blackburn Rovers, Stoke City, Queens Park Rangers, and Luton Town have all shown interest in winger Jesurun Rak-Sakyi. Recently, Sheffield United has also been linked with the Crystal Palace attacker.

Alan Nixon recently mentioned that the Blades are now in contention following their relegation from the Premier League last season. Last week, Nixon reported that Luton Town are “hopeful of winning the battle” to sign Rak-Sakyi on loan during the summer transfer window. However, the Hatters will face competition if they are to secure his services.

Last summer, Sunderland, along with several other Championship clubs, expressed interest in the 21-year-old. Leicester City and Ipswich Town were also interested before both clubs were promoted to the Premier League. Portsmouth and Hull have also been linked with Rak-Sakyi in recent months.

Following an impressive loan spell at Charlton during the 2022-23 season, Crystal Palace decided to keep Jesurun Rak-Sakyi at Selhurst Park rather than loan him out again. During his time in League One, Rak-Sakyi scored 15 goals in 49 appearances before returning to Selhurst Park.

However, after sustaining a hamstring injury in November, the winger was sidelined for five months and managed just six Premier League appearances last season.

Palace have shown interest in Sunderland star Jobe Bellingham, with attacker Michael Olise expected to leave Selhurst Park in a big-money move to Bayern Munich this summer as the transfer window heats up.
