The next Tranmere Rovers signing confirmed

Connah’s Quay Nomads are pleased to announce that a deal has been reached for Josh Williams to join EFL League Two side Tranmere Rovers.

Josh began his journey with The Nomads at the U8 level and advanced through the ranks to the first team.

He stood out in the Academy during the 2022 season when the U21 team won the JD Cymru Premier Development North title, narrowly missing the national title in the final on penalties.

In 2022, Josh was named captain of the Welsh Schools team, leading them to win the Centenary Shield for the first time in over 40 years and scoring a hat-trick against England.

Josh was also part of The Nomads team that won the JD Welsh Cup in 2024, scoring a spectacular winning goal that was voted Goal of the Month for April by Sgorio.

Everyone at Connah’s Quay Nomads wishes Josh all the best for his future in football. Despite not turning 20 until mid-July, he has already made an impressive 47 starts and 22 substitute appearances, scoring six goals during his time with the first team.
