The 19-year-old is poised to embark on a loan spell with Northern League club Redcar Athletic for the upcoming season, following an impressive stint at Shildon last year.
Mazfari, who joined Pools in September last year, spent the latter half of the season on loan at Shildon, where he kept seven clean sheets in 14 matches as they advanced to the Northern League Division One play-offs.
Having previously been associated with Huddersfield and the England Schoolboys setup, Mazfari will continue training full-time with Pools while seeking regular playing time at Redcar.
“I’m delighted to extend my time at Pools. I gained invaluable experience last season being part of the first-team environment,” he stated on the club’s website.
“I gained valuable experience during my loan spell and it was rewarding to play regularly, so I’m hopeful for a similar experience at Redcar this season. I’m eagerly anticipating the upcoming campaign.”
