JUST IN: Brisbane Roar Complete Another Summer Signing

Brisbane Roar have announced the acquisition of forward Adam Zimarino on a one-year contract ahead of the upcoming 2024-25 Isuzu UTE A-League season. The 23-year-old joins after mutually agreeing to terminate his contract with Perth. Zimarino will reunite with his former Glory head coach Ruben Zadkovich, who is set to oversee his first pre-season with the Queensland-based club.

Despite making his debut in the Isuzu UTE A-League for the Glory in 2022, Zimarino struggled to secure regular playing time in Western Australia, featuring in only 25 league matches in total.

Moving to Brisbane not only reunites Zimarino with former boss Zadkovich but also positions him to secure regular playing time in the 2024-25 season.

Zimarino commented, “After discussions with Ruben, Zac (CEO Zac Anderson), and others at the club, my decision became straightforward.”

“I’m thrilled for this opportunity and eager to get started. The club is heading in the right direction, and I’m excited to be a part of it,” he added. “Personally, this season, I aim to contribute to the team, score goals, and help achieve the success this club deserves.”

The Roar are amidst a rebuilding phase this off-season as Zadkovich readies for his inaugural full season at the helm of the club.

With Zimarino’s transfer confirmed, the club has now secured the signings of seven players this off-season, including Harry Van Der Saag, Ben Warland, Marcus Ferkranus, Hosine Bility, Ben Halloran, and Walid Shour.
