Worcester City adds young centre back to its squad

Worcester City have bolstered their squad this summer by signing a talented young center-back as part of their ongoing recruitment drive.

Hayden Reeves, the latest addition to City’s roster, arrives from Hednesford Town for the 2024/2025 season. His footballing journey includes stints at clubs like Stourbridge, Tividale, AFC Wulfrunians, and Walsall Wood, showcasing his experience across different levels.

He is considered a promising player known for his skill on the ball and dedication to keeping goals out of the net.

City manager Chris Cornes expressed his satisfaction after securing his third new signing for the upcoming campaign.

He said: “I’m thrilled to have Hayden on board. We had discussions before last season, and when we found ourselves in the Hellenic League, he was initially deterred by the travel involved. He’s been a leader at his previous clubs, and he’s exactly the type of player I wanted to help drive the club forward this season.”

“He’s a dominant center back who is hungry for success, and he’ll be a key player for us this season, seamlessly fitting into our existing dressing room,” Mr. Cornes commented.

“I’m absolutely delighted to have secured his signature and am eager to start working with him,” he added.
