AFC Wimbledon’s young talent Ethan Sutcliffe has committed to a new two-year contract. The 20-year-old, who spent a productive loan period at Tonbridge Angels in the National League South last season, scoring twice in 28 appearances, has extended his stay. Sutcliffe, whose previous contract expired at the end of the season, showcased his potential during his opportunities with the first team, accumulating three senior appearances for AFC Wimbledon. The new agreement includes an option for an additional 12 months.

“I’m thrilled to have signed another contract with the club. Having been here for a while now, I know firsthand what a fantastic environment it is.”

Dons boss Johnnie Jackson commented, “Ethan made significant progress last season with a highly successful loan spell at Tonbridge Angels. His performances and professionalism impressed everyone, showing he can handle senior football well. We’re thrilled to secure him with a new contract and excited to support his continued development at AFC Wimbledon.”

Head of football operations, Craig Cope, added, “It’s fantastic to see Ethan extend his commitment to the club. His impressive loan stint last season caught our attention, and we’re eager to see him grow further in the upcoming season.”
