The next Sheffield Wednesday summer signing confirmed

It has been stated that the 25-year-old would get a medical exam on Thursday before finalizing his relocation to Hillsborough.

Danny Rohl, the head coach of the Owls, is familiar with Valery from his time at Southampton in England.

Wednesday and Valery came to personal terms late in the week following an agreement with his team. The international player from Tunisia had also been linked to transfers to Standard Liege and Montpellier.

After joining Southampton in 2015, Valery played in 53 games over four seasons, having attended the Rennes academy.

He played on loan for Birmingham during his tenure at St. Mary’s, and he made 35 league appearances for Angers last season as they won promotion from Ligue 2.

This summer, Wednesday has already signed two players.

Ben Hamer, 36, a former keeper for Huddersfield Town who made 21 appearances for Watford last season, will formally join on July 1; his contract with the Championship team expires at the end of June.

Max Lowe, 27, a left-back whose contract at Sheffield United expires at the end of June, will also move across the Steel City divide at the beginning of July.
