Birmingham City launch ambitious swoop for 16-goal striker

Bojan Miovski, an Aberdeen striker, is wanted by Birmingham City, although Bologna is a strong contender for his services.

Bojan Miovski of Aberdeen is a player that Birmingham City is interested in, although opposing teams may make a deal tough.

Blues are getting ready for life in League One after being relegated on the last day of the previous season, but there is optimism at the team following Chris Davies’ appointment as manager.

In preparation for his first managerial position, the former Leicester assistant is anticipated to receive support from the market as he works to assemble a Birmingham team that can return to the Championship on its first try.

Birmingham City monitoring Bojan Miovski

Now that the market has opened, the Blues will undoubtedly prioritise signing a new number nine. Sun journalist Alan Nixon has reported that the team is considering Miovski, who has enjoyed two good years with Aberdeen after moving to Scotland.

The update also notes that Bologna is interested in the North Macedonian as well, and he says that the Italian team would be willing to spend up to £7 million for the 24-year-old. As a result, making a deal for the player will not be easy.

If that’s the case, the source claims that Bologna’s Champions League participation next season would be too much for Blues to handle, even though going to Serie A has clear appeal.

It seems, though, that Birmingham would try to take advantage of the opportunity if an agreement could not be struck.

Bojan Miovski would be a real statement of intent from Birmingham City

For a variety of reasons, not the least of which being that Miovski is a player who truly shouldn’t be participating in League One next season, it is actually rather difficult to see this transaction going through.

He is a capable goal scorer; his 16 goals in the Scottish Premiership during the previous season matched his total from his debut year at Pittodrie. In addition, he has excelled for the Dons in crucial matches, such as those against the two Glasgow teams.

Despite their relegation, there is a feeling that the Blues are moving in the right route under their new owners, as we know Tom Wagner has high ambitions for Birmingham.

Nothing is completely out of the question, but if they could persuade Miovski to transfer to St. Andrew’s at this point in his career, that would be a huge surprise and a tremendous coup.

Birmingham City’s summer plans

As previously mentioned, the Blues are in dire need of a new number nine this summer since they have struggled to score goals.

The connection to Miovski is encouraging because it shows that the recruiting staff is aware of this problem and may be willing to make a significant investment to address it.

They can go to work in the market immediately by bringing in Davies at this early stage, and he will undoubtedly have a significant influence as he attempts to bring in players who will fit his playing style.

Now, the focus is on finding players who can advance Birmingham, and the summer is looking well for the Blues as they attempt to begin a new, prosperous era under Davies.
